Victor Davis Pool closing for repairs

Hi folks… It’s not in our Ward, but it’s just next door and I know a lot of Twovians use this great facility…. Closed for about 3 weeks for repairs.

Here’s the scoop:

The Victor Davis Pool at Victoria Road Recreation Centre is closing for tile repairs to the pool deck, starting September 4. The work is expected to be done by September 23.

The repair work, covered under warranty and planned for as part of the facility’s annual maintenance, will address deficiencies with the grout and deck tiles that connect with the coving—the curved surface around the pool.

During the closure, patrons can still access the arena and community rooms. Recreational and fitness swims are available at Centennial Pool and West End Community Centre.

Fall swimming lessons will begin September 30 at all City indoor pools. Registration day is Wednesday, August 29 at 7:30 a.m.

A sad state of affairs when a facility has to be repaired after ONE YEAR.
