Celebrate the Canadian winter with family fun at Winterfest

Guelph, ON, February 5, 2015 – On Family Day, February 16, put on your warmest hats, scarves and gloves, grab your family and friends, and join your neighbours to celebrate Guelph’s 20th annual Winterfest.

Winterfest activities, which range from skating to snow painting, are volunteer-led and organized by community and neighbourhood groups and supported by the City of Guelph and Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition. Admission is free.

Skating, scavenger hunt, snow/ice sculptures, snowman building, snow painting and hot chocolate

North Riverside (Waverley) Neighbourhood Group
Waverley Public School, 140 Waverley Drive
12:30-2:30 p.m.
Outdoor games, winter sports and skating, and warm winter treats.

Our Three Bridges Neighbourhood Group
Royal City Park, 139 Gordon Street (east of the river)
1-4 p.m.
Broom Ball, ice sculpture, snow painting, music, tug-of-war, bowling, skating, hot chocolate and music

Parkwood Neighbourhood Group
Gateway Drive Public School, 33 Gateway Drive
2-4 p.m.
Skating and outdoor games. Indoor games planned for poor weather

Sunny Acres Residents
Sunny Acres Park, 45 Edinburgh Road North
1-3 p.m.
Barbecue, skating and hot chocolate

Two Rivers Neighbourhood Group

1-3:30 p.m.
Skating, hot chocolate and snow painting

West Willow Wood Neighbourhood Group
