Preparations are under way for GPL’s 3rd annual Evening for Book Lovers fundraiser.
This year’s theme is ‘The Spy Who Loves Reading’ and the event will take place on Saturday February 28th 2015 at the Hanlon Convention Centre.
Attendees of this year’s event will enjoy a fabulous dinner and silent auction festivities in an exciting casino atmosphere, as we celebrate one of the most popular genres in fiction. Entertainment will be provided by
Viva Las Vegas
casino company and guests are encouraged to bring out their inner James Bond, Jason Bourne, Nancy Drew, or Stephanie Plum for this royale evening. More information about the event can be found at
Over the past three years, this has grown into a much anticipated community event, helping to raise important funds for our organization – no doubt a reflection of the wonderful work done on a daily basis at the Guelph Public Library!
As we head closer to the big day, a couple of items:
1) We are currently seeking interested sponsors and silent auction donors for the event. Any help in securing sponsors or donations is greatly appreciated. Many companies prefer to give to clients and people they deal with directly, and with many other worthwhile causes out there, it’s ‘who you know’ that really helps. As such, if you know of any companies, contacts, or organization who might be interested in getting involved please feel free to pass along the information to them, or alternatively, if you would prefer I contact them, I would be happy to do so. Information about the sponsorship opportunities available and their associated benefits, the event itself, and others ways to get involved can be found in the links below. Or, paper copies of the sponsorship package can be made available as well upon request.
2) Tickets will go on sale NOVEMBER 17th. Further information will be provided at that time. Tickets will be $85 per person and tables seat 8. We hope you can join us and invite your friends!
As always, any help spreading the word about this event and ways to get involved is greatly appreciated. We hope you can join us!
