The forecast for tonight and into tomorrow is calling for freezing rain to begin at midnight and to continue into morning with possible snow accumulations of up to 1.5 cm. Snow and rain conditions are expected to end by 9.00 am tomorrow morning.

Temperatures are expected to rise slowly overnight starting at 10.00 pm from around 0 C degrees to + 2 C degrees, ending midday Saturday when temperatures will start to drop again to -8 C degrees by midnight on Saturday.

In addition, wind speeds will increase to gusts of up to 57 Km/hr overnight.

City crews are equipped and ready to respond to and monitor these continued winter conditions throughout the weekend.

It is not anticipated that a residential plow-out will be required at this time.

Given these weather conditions, we urge residents to exercise caution during this period of changing temperatures and varied precipitation.

Please drive safely and enjoy our first weekend of Spring.
