Moving Forward on Priorities

Council took a big step forward this week on one of its top priorities. Council approved the new technology to reopen the Organic Waste Processing Facility. Getting our organic composting facility back on track is Council’s top priority along with the implementation of the Community Energy Plan.  Read more.

I’ve gradually been losing my interest in Gerry Barker and his column. Wistfully, I remember years past, opening the Saturday Mercury and reading Gerry’s latest broadside against ‘fellow travellers’ and of his disdain for ‘the orange horde’. His anger was a mystery but his writing was entertaining.
