Plastic Bags to be Banned Please

We wish to see all plastic bags banned from Guelph as they have done in San Francisco, India and China.
Please let me now how we can proceed on this issue. We have started a facebook group so we will see how many people sign up overtime and let you know the results.    DD

Guelph Nightlife Task Force

Much talk has been made of Guelph’s late night entertainment scene and it’s associated problems. Concern has been raised over excessive litter and debris(mainly fast food containers), noise, vandalism (broken store front windows) and occasional violence.

Maybe we should add ‘refuse’ to list of Rs

I wish to congratulate Vicki Beard for her suggestions to alleviate garbage by bringing the problem of overpackaging to the retail stores.
There is no other way the severity of this problem can be illustrated more graphically than by leaving the trash with the store. The store, and pretty soon the manufacturer, will get the message.
