I live across the street from this eyesore you all refer to as historic and heritage. If this pile shows our true heritage or anyone in your office feels this is a piece of our heritage they should be sent on a bus tour around Ontario and view some actual historical buildings that truly show our heritage. Looking out my window I would rather be looking at a bunch of kids (our future) having fun in a useful park rather than a boarded up pile of unattractive brick as I referred to it in the subject line. There has been more time and money wasted on this in the past, don’t waste any more. Knock it down and get on with the jobs you were elected for and quit wasting our tax dollars. TB

Hey Slagheap, Get a grip and have some vision! Take a drive down Neeve Street in the Ward and look at the beautiful Danby building. It was ravaged by fire and neglected by the development company, but the residents of the Ward new the importance of saving it. We worked hard with the city and owners to finally at the end of the day have passionate owners develop it (Lammers). Today it stands in all its glory and it definitely is not an eyesore!
L. Pagnan, do you know of the property we all detest so much? Do you know how it was promised that the green space would be just that, green space? And that no part of it was to be severed? Do you know that this house looks like a regular farm house and that only parts of it can be considered heritage, like a window? And that for years it has sat abandoned and boarded up, therefore becoming an eyesore? The tax payers in my neighborhood do, and we vote for its demolition.
