Members of City Council and the City’s executive team will attend the first of two working sessions to discuss further development of the Guelph’s Strategic Plan. The sessions will build on workshops held last spring when participants confirmed Guelph’s corporate vision and values, and collaboratively developed a draft mission for the plan.
“Tomorrow’s session will focus on identifying critical issues facing the organization,” says Brenda Boisvert, Corporate Manager, Strategic Planning and Corporate Initiatives. “In March Council and the executive team will meet again to validate a draft of the City’s new strategic plan that is designed to respond to those issues.”

ABOUT THE STRATEGIC PLAN
The City’s strategic plan helps to align activities, inform decisions about resource allocation and ultimately helps to clarify, measure, track and produce results that respond to the needs and interests of the community as whole. A balanced and well-informed plan coupled with effective priority setting starts by understanding the opportunities and challenges facing the City as well as the aspirations of residents.
