Council delivers lowest tax increase in the past six years

Changes in Guelph’s property value assessments, a decrease in the Province’s education tax rate, and adjustments to the City’s multi-residential tax ratio and its operating budget allowed City Council to approve a 2009 residential property tax increase of 3.41 per cent over 2008.

Moving Forward on Priorities

Council took a big step forward this week on one of its top priorities. Council approved the new technology to reopen the Organic Waste Processing Facility.
