Guelph commuters are encouraged to take action against air pollution

The City of Guelph is encouraging commuters to take action against air pollution by participating in the Commuter Challenge during Environment Week, taking place June 1-7.

City of Guelph announces green power purchase

Beginning June 1, the City of Guelph’s F.M. Woods Pumping Station will be powered by Bullfrog Power, Ontario’s first 100 per cent green electricity retailer. The total green power purchase amounts to over 1,827 MWh and will help to reduce the city’s electricity-related carbon dioxide emissions footprint by 400 tonnes in 2008.
